Till a few years back, it was impossible to imagine that the standard cathode ray tube (CRT) of TV’s would be replaced by liquid crystal displays (LCD). Though LCD has been around for a long period of time, there were certain inherent problems with them, like the screen refresh rate, that were creating problems for TV manufacturers to incorporate them into TVs.
